Suzuki updates Gixxer, Access 125 with BS-4 and AHO

Suzuki has launched the Gixxer SF and the Access 125 scooter with BS-IV emission norms and AHO ( Automatic Headlamp On). Mechanically, both the models are powered by the existing engine options.

Suzuki Motorcycle has updated its existing Gixxer SF motorcycle and the Access 125 scooter with BS-IV emission norms and AHO ( Automatic Headlamp On). The Suzuki Gixxer SF has also received new graphics, while the BS-IV compliant Access 125 scooter also gets new body colour.

Commenting on the new colour offerings, Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, SMIPL, said, “Since their launch, the Gixxers and the New Access 125 have gained immense popularity in their segments. In order to provide our customers with environment-friendly technology in line with the latest regulations, these vehicles now comply with BS-IV and also feature AHO. We are also refreshing this range with new colour & graphic variants. For the New Access, the Metallic Sonic Silver is aimed at the fashion conscious customers who are looking for more options in terms of modern styling. The Gixxer and Gixxer SF 2017 variants will appeal to the young rider who wants to make a style statement on their mean machines. We are confident that these new colours will find universal appeal and further propel our growth in their respective segments.”

Besides these features, the Gixxer and Gixxer SF range are now equipped with Gixxer logo on the fuel tank and LED tail lamps and rear disc brake. The Gixxer series is available in three colours, namely; Pearl Mira Red and Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Triton Blue and Glass Sparkle Black, and Glass Sparkle Black. The Glass Sparkle Black body colour is exclusive to the rear drum brake variant. The Suzuki Gixxer with rear disc variant is priced at Rs 80,528, ex-showroom, Delhi, while the Gixxer with drum brake cost Rs 77,452, ex-showroom, Delhi.

The new Suzuki Gixxer SF gets new sporty graphics that has been inspired from the Suzuki logo and is offered in Metallic Triton Blue, Glass Sparkle Black and Metallic Mat Black and Pearl Mira Red body colours. The Gixxer SF Fi (Fuel injected) variant have received Metallic Triton Blue and Glass Sparkle Black with Metallic Mat Black colours. The Suzuki Gixxer SF is priced at Rs 89,659 and the Gixxer SF Fi carries a price tag of Rs 93,499. Both the prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

Talking about the new Suzuki Access 125, the scooter now features a new and trendy body colour in a Metallic Sonic Silver in addition to the existing range of body colours namely, Pearl Suzuki Deep Blue, Candy Sonoma Red, Metallic Fibroin Grey, Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Mirage White. The new Metallic Sonic Silver variant is priced at Rs 54,302 for the drum brake version and Rs 57,615 for the disc brake variant. All the prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

Mechanically, both the models are powered by the existing engine options. The Gixxer and Gixxer SF is powered by a 154.9 cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 14.5 hp and 14 Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The Suzuki Access 125 scooter gets its power from a 124 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that generates 8.5 hp of power and 10.2 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) automatic gearbox.

All the two-wheelers, including motorcycles and scooter sold in the country, will now be equipped with the BS-IV emission norms and AHO features as announced by the Government of India. The two-wheeler manufacturer has to comply with these rules before 31st March, 2017.
