Piaggio has started delivery of the Aprilia SR 150, which is priced at Rs. 65,000, ex-showroom, Pune. The deliveries will start from Pune, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kerala and Chennai and will then be made available across the country. The new Aprilia SR 150 is manufactured at Piaggio's Baramati plant in Maharashtra.
The vehicle is loaded with a host of features such as five-spoke 14-inch alloy wheels at both ends. For effective braking, the company has equipped the Aprilia SR 150 with a 220 mm front disc upfront and 140 mm drum brakes at the rear. The sports scooter also features a lightweight handlebar and aggressive front fascia with a pronounced “beak”. The Aprilia SR 150 is offered with a choice of two body paints - Matt black and white.
On this occasion, Stefano Pelle, Managing Director and CEO, Piaggio Vehicles Private Limited (PVPL), said, “The commencement of deliveries of the Aprilia SR 150 is a milestone moment for all of us at Piaggio India. This is the first bike from the Aprilia stable that has been designed for the India market and is being manufactured locally. With the Aprilia SR 150, patrons can now experience the racing heritage of the brand on Indian roads. It has managed to create a new category of crossover bikes in India and is receiving a favorable response from the youth of India”
The two-wheeler maker is currently accepting the booking of the new motorcycle at its dealerships in the country. Customers can also book or purchase the SR 150 via PayTM.
