Mahindra has inaugurated its first ever two-wheeler dedicated dealership that will handle sales and after sales of its flagship motorcycle, the Mojo. The facility will only serve Mojo customers, and is located in Bengaluru. The setting up of a two-wheeler only dealership was inspired by Mojo owners’ community – Mojo Tribe, and hence also features riding gear, and a separate section for ‘Trails of Mojo Tribe’. Mahindra say that the dealership will also serve as a place to hangout for motorcycling enthusiasts in the city. The facility will have a fully equipped workshop for service, repairs and customisations. The exclusive dealership is Mahindra's only two-wheeler specific facility in the country.
Commenting on the development, Naveen Malhotra, Sr. GM – Sales, Marketing & Product Planning, Mahindra Two Wheelers said, “We have always believed in biking being a lifestyle & attitude than just a product and hence we took the unconventional route right from the launch of the ‘Mojo Tribe’ for Mojo owners to the ‘Trails of Mojo Tribe’ which took the owners to experience the bike in diverse terrains. The launch of this Exclusive Dealership is a natural progression in our strategy to build this biking culture by providing a platform for bike enthusiasts to explore, engage and experience the brand Mojo in a holistic fashion.”
The Mojo is powered by a 295cc, single-cylinder engine that develops 26hp max power and 30Nm peak torque, and is mated to a six-speed transmission.
Another variant of the motorcycle called 'Tourer Edition' was also launched this year. It has been equipped with touring specific accessories and features, such as saddle bags made of tough denier fabric with triple stitching, pannier mounts, 13 L magnetic tank bag equipped with 4 rare earth magnets for better grip, 360-degree rotation mobile holder with a silicone band, 20W fog lamps and a front crash guard. Besides this, the company also provided a Mahindra branded 'Tourer Jacket' as an introductory offer.
