A total of 666 units Ducati Diavel Diesel will be manufactured

Yes, you read that right. Ducati Diavel Diesel has been launched in India and the few fortunate customers will receive delivery of their expectantly prized possession in August 2017. And now to break the suspense. No, it is not a diesel powered Ducati Diavel. Two Italian brands, Ducati and fashion brand Diesel, have come together to create a motorcycle that is high on power, panache and price. It was initially revealed at the Milan Men’s Fashion Week Fall 2017 held in January, and is now available on special order in India. The Diavel Diesel dons a rugged but exquisite new look, perhaps inspired by a Hollywood film set in a post-apocalyptic era in the future.

The Ducati Diavel Diesel is a creative collaboration between the Ducati Design Center and Andrea Rosso, Diesel Licensing Creative Director. A total of 666 units of the motorcycle will be built and sent across the globe. The Ducati Diavel Diesel is available only on special order and is priced at Rs 19,92,000 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

This is not the first time Ducati have looked at one of their motorcycles from a fashion perspective. In 2012, Ducati and Diesel had collaborated to create another piece of art - the Ducati Monster Diesel. The Italian fashion brand will also be presenting a apparel collection of Jogg Jeans, leather jackets and t-shirts reflecting the Ducati and Diesel collaboration.

The Ducati Diavel Diesel has been given a hand-brushed stainless steel superstructure with visible welding and rivets that definitely make it stand out, also accompanied by details like the tank cover, front cowl, and passenger saddle. The saddle, made of real leather, is unique to this Diavel, on which the pyramid motif appears: the three Ds of Ducati, Diavel, and Diesel.

Other distinguishing features of this very special Diavel include the lateral air intake covers, made of red methacrylate with the Diesel logo on the inside. Red is also the color of the Brembo front brake calipers, of five chain links and the LCD dashboard, which recalls vintage digital displays.

The Ducati Diavel Diesel’s exhaust system is another detailed work of art, thanks to the black Zircotec ceramic coated pipes and black silencers with ends machined from solid, on which the new pyramid motif appears. It is powered by a 162 hp Testastretta 11° DS engine and comes with the Ducati Safety Pack (ABS and Ducati Traction Control) and riding modes.
