The popular KTM 390 Duke has started reaching dealerships in white colour option. The said colour should go on sale in the coming days. Express Drives came to know through some of the dealers that there will be no change in pricing for the new colour option. Selected dealers have started accepting bookings for the white shade of the 390 Duke at a token amount of Rs 5,000. The dealers are promising that the deliveries will take place by the end of this month or in the first week of February. This is not the first time that the white colour of the motorcycle has reached the dealerships. Earlier, just a few days after the launch of the 2017 KTM 390 Duke in India, the company had accidentally sent some white coloured units to the dealerships in India and those were meant for the export markets only. KTM did not ask for the recall of the said units and hence, some lucky customers got the said colour that was not launched officially here. Now, the company has decided to sell this shade officially and it should act as a cherry on top when it comes to the sale of the motorcycle that is already doing good in the Indian two-wheeler market.
KTM 390 Duke gets its power from a 373cc, single cylinder, liquid-cooled engine mated to a six-speed transmission system. The fuel injected motor is good for churning out a maximum power output of 43 hp along with a peak torque of 37 Nm. The transmission is also linked to a slipper clutch that reduces the effects of engine braking during aggressive downshifts. Prime highlights of the 2017 KTM 390 Duke include full LED headlamp up front, aggressive an sharp streetfighter styling, coloured TFT instrument cluster and a lot more.
The 2017 KTM 390 Duke is currently on sale in India at a price of Rs 2.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). As already mentioned, there will be no change in pricing for the white colour of the motorcycle. Visit your nearest KTM dealership for the availability of the same.
