Kawasaki Ninja 650 gets new blue colour: Priced at Rs 5.22 lakh

The new Kawasaki Ninja 650 blue colour will be available for sale in limited numbers. Bookings already open at the company's dealerships across India. Mechanically, the motorcycle remains untouched and continues with the same 649cc engine with same power and torque outputs.

Kawasaki Ninja 650 has just been launched in India in a new blue colour. This is the first time that the company has launched the said colour for Ninja 650 in India. The new Kawasaki Ninja 650 blue colour has been launched at a price of Rs 5.22 lakh. According to the company, the bookings for the Kawasaki Ninja 650 blue colour have begun at the brand's outlets across India. Kawasaki has announced that it will retire the black colour of the motorcycle with the introduction of the new blue shade. The Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT edition will continue to be there and it was launched in India last year at a price of Rs 5.49 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Kawasaki Ninja 650 blue colour will be sold in limited numbers.

Mechanically, the Kawasaki Ninja 650 remains the same. The bike continues to get its power from a 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel twin engine mated to a six-speed transmission system. The engine is good for churning out a maximum power output of 67 hp along with a peak torque of 66 Nm. The braking to the Kawasaki Ninja 650 is done with the help of dual 300mm disc brakes up front along with a 220mm disc brake at the rear. An ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) comes as standard. The suspension system of the bike comprises of 41mm telescopic forks at the front along with gas charged monoshock at the rear. The motorcycle has been fitted with a 15-litre fuel tank.

Commenting on the launch of the new Kawasaki Ninja 650 blue colour, Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motors said, “We take a lot of pride in different colour combinations, though the green and black is our signature style. The Ninja 650 in black received a very good response in the Indian market. Now we are expecting the same for blue Ninja 650 ABS.”
