Kanpur has been trolled for various 'unique' and funny instances which have somewhat kept the second largest industrial town in India in the news. A recent funny incident took place where a motorcycle was being towed by Kanpur Traffic Police in the Bada Chauraha area, but the hilarious part is where the rider was seen sitting on the motorcycle. Although details are unclear as to why the rider was sitting, reports suggest that he did not want to get off the vehicle. At this time, the Kanpur Police officials at the scene decided to take him along with the motorcycle.

Wearing a white helmet, the rider hangs on to the motorcycle and refuses to give up. It is expected that later the police would have let him off after the requisite fine. In the video shared by ANI on their twitter handle, the person recording it states the cruelty of Kanpur Police. However, parking in a no parking zone is not just an offense but also a safety hazard to other road users. A vehicle parked in a prohibited zone can get rear-ended as other road users would not be aware. Unless a vehicle has broken down, the police have complete authority of towing a vehicle parked in a no parking zone.
The video also suggests that if the police are doing their duty, someone will state them to be cruel, while only a handful would follow instructions. Apart from that, road users keep flouting rules which can be controlled by the authorities only to a certain limit. According to a research done by Catch News, Uttar Pradesh police is understaffed by almost 2 lakh positions and the condition is worsening.
