We reported yesterday that Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) launched the BS-IV version of the Honda CB Shine in India and will inaugurate the production flag-off of the motorcycle from its manufacturing plant tomorrow. Today, the two-wheeler manufacturer has rolled out the BS-IV version of the CB Shine from its manufacturing plant at Tapukara in Rajasthan along with announcing the 50 lakh unit sales milestone.
The Honda CB Shine is now equipped with AHO (Automatic Headlamp On), one of the safety features, which automatically switches on the headlamp when the riders turn on the ignition of the motorcycle and in turn improves visibility to other motorists. The company has also equipped the CB Shine with features like chrome finished muffler and carburettor cover. The motorcycle is now available with a choice of two new body colours - New Athletic Blue Metallic and Imperial Red Metallic.

Powering the 2017 Honda CB Shine is the same 124.73 cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine equipped with Honda Eco Technology (HET). The engine produces 10.16 hp of power at 7,500 rpm and churns out a peak torque of 10.30 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The CB Shine is available at a starting price of Rs 60,675 for the drum brake version and Rs 63,000 for the disc brake variant.
