Following the Cliq, which Honda had launched earlier this year targeted at the rural demographic, Honda has now announced another scooter that they are calling the Grazia. A polar cousin to the Cliq in the sense that Honda intends to market it as an advanced urban scooter, which is marketing jargon means that it has been targetted at city dwellers and will likely be positioned above the Activa, Honda's go-to sales runner. Honda claims that the Grazia will be the next big innovation from Honda and by the images on zigwheels.com, it sure does look the part. Honda has also refrained from sharing any details about the Grazia aside from the fact that they have opened bookings for it and will open bookings for the Grazia on the 25th of October. However, we suspect that the Grazia will get the Activa 125's 125cc motor. Sharp lines seem to be the theme with an edgier model on show. The spy shots also show a wider apron and footboard on the Grazia.
The spy shots reveal more than Honda intends to tell us, as clearly visible from the shots include alloy wheels, front disc brakes (likely to get Honda's Combi-braking system), and a dual tone paint scheme. The Grazia will also get a revised instrument cluster with a digital display. A step-away from what we have seen thus far on most Honda scooters. It even gets convenient cubbies on the left-hand side. It is also likely to get a USB charging outlet which will probably be the make-or-break feature on the Grazia.
The 125 Honda Grazia will available for bookings from the 25th of October 2017, at Honda dealerships across India. We suspect that with the word premium and urban being thrown around as often as they are with the Grazia that it will go on sale somewhere around the Rs 65,000 mark, slightly dearer than the corresponding Activa.
