Honda CB Unicorn, CB Shine, CD 110 Dream, Navi get safer! Updated with ABS/CBS with marginal price hike

All thanks to the Government of India's safety mandate, all new two-wheelers need to come with braking safety equipment starting April 2019 in the interest of public safety. Taking a step towards the same, Honda has updated four two-wheelers with what is required. All details here.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) Pvt. Ltd. has launched safer models of its four two-wheelers namely CB Unicorn, CB Shine, CD 110 Dream and Navi. Starting with the new Honda CB Unicorn, the motorcycle has been launched with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) for better safety and more effective braking. In addition, Honda has also introduced Combi Brake System (CBS) with equalizer in its two-wheelers namely CB Shine (drum variant), CD Dream DX and Navi. Leading from the front in technological innovation, Honda was the first among the industry to introduce Combi-Brake System with equalizer in its two-wheelers way back in 2009.

Apart from the inclusion of an ABS, the 2019 Honda CB Unicorn ABS gets tubeless tyres, stylish looking instrument cluster with blue illumination and seal chain for increased convenience and durability. The new Honda CB Unicorn ABS has been competitively priced at Rs 78,815 (ex-showroom, Delhi). On the other hand, the new and improved 2019 Honda CB Shine comes with a new addition of Combined Braking System with equalizer. The 2019 CB Shine CBS is now available at the dealerships at a price of Rs 58,338 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Now, Honda’s most affordable offering in the 100-110cc motorcycle segment CD110 Dream comes with Combi-Brake System with equalizer. In addition to the advanced braking system, the motorcycle now enjoys silver 5 spoke alloy wheels, chrome handle bar & carrier, painted- front fender, cowl & tail cowl, clear winkers and graphics for a better appeal. The 2019 CD110 CBS is available at a starting price of Rs 50,028 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Honda Navi is now equipped with Combined Braking System with equalizer. CBS provides effortless braking that ensure shorter braking distance and a better balance. The 2019 Honda Navi CBS is priced at Rs 47,110 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

All thanks to the Government of India’s safety mandate, all new two-wheelers having an engine displacement of 125cc and above need to come with an ABS starting April 2019. On the other hand, two-wheelers with an engine lesser than 125cc need to have a CBS mandatorily starting the said month.
