Ducati India has launched the new SuperSport motorcycle in the country at Rs 12.08 lakh, while the Ducati SuperSport S carries a price tag of Rs 13.39 lakh for the red body colour and Rs 13.60 lakh for the white. All prices are ex-showroom, India. Powering the Ducati SuperSport and SuperSport S motorcycles is a 937 cc Testastretta twin-cylinder engine that delivers 110 hp of power at 9,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 93 Nm at 6,500 rpm, transferring power to the wheels through a 6-speed gearbox.

The motorcycles are based on a Trellis frame and feature riding modes, Sport, Touring and Urban Riding Modes, Ride-by-Wire technology, ABS (Antilock Braking System) and DTC (Ducati Traction Control). The Ducati SuperSport S features fully adjustable Öhlins suspension, the Ducati Quick Shift up/down system as well as a rear seat cover. The Ducati SuperSport, on the other hand, feature Quick Shift and the rear seat covers as optional extras.

The company claims that the SuperSport is agile on urban roads and comfortable on highways. The motorcycles are also available with adjustable windscreen by up to 50 mm and have a seat height of 810 mm that can be further adjustable by 20 to 25 mm as per the rider's comfort. The company is also offering an aftermarket exhaust from Akrapovic. The Ducati SuperSport has a kerb weight of 210 kg and rides on 17-inch Pirelli Diablo Sport III tyres.

The Ducati's SuperSports claim to fame is the fact, that it is essentially a "road-going" superbike which means that the ride is setup biased towards comfort and will make it more livable for city riding conditions. And that does not mean that you can't drag your knee when you get on a racetrack, the SuperSport and the S are capable of 48 degrees of tilt, and all that without straining your wrists sounds every time you go touring or for a weekend ride, makes it really attractive, especially in India where road conditions can vary drastically.
