Bajaj Auto is extending its V range, buoyed by the success of the V15 and will launch its smaller sibling V12 in December 2016. The all new V12 will be priced at around Rs 56,000( ex-showroom, Delhi) and the company has already started accepting bookings for the commuter motorcycle. The images of the V12 motorcycle have been clicked at a company dealership and have been made public by India.com.
The V12 has taken its design cues from its bigger sibling V15 but sports different features. The commuter motorcycle will get 5 spoke alloy wheels and will not feature a front disc brake. Furthermore, the motorcycle will come only in one colour option- Wine Red. Along with this the V12 also features rear seat cowl, front rubber fork boots, body coloured mudguard and analogue instrument cluster. The V12 is powered by a 125cc DTS-i engine, which produces 10hp of power and 11 Nm of torque and is mated to a five-speed transmission.

Bajaj V12 will continue to use the metal from decommissioned aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. The V15 was launched in March 2016, and the company has sold over 1.6 lakh units of the motorcycle till date. In order to make the most of the V brand's success, the company will manufacture more models under V brand. When launched in across the country, the V12 will compete with Honda Shine, Hero Glamour and TVS Phoenix in its segment.
