Bajaj Auto, after launching new colour options for the Avenger range has silently launched the Bajaj Platina 100 ComforTec at Rs. 43,241, ex-showroom, Delhi. The 100cc motorcycle is available in two variants – the Bajaj Platina 100 ComforTec Alloy ES which carries a price tag of Rs. 43,241 and the Bajaj Platina 100 ComforTec Alloy KS, priced at Rs. 45,252.
As the name 'ComforTec' suggests, the newly launched bike is claimed to be more comfortable than other bikes in the category. The commuter bike is equipped with a new front suspension, which is 28% longer, 22% longer double spring rear suspension, rubber footpads for better grip and soft-cushioned seats. The company claims that the improved suspension helps the new Platina be 20 % more resistant to jerks compared to the competitor it was tested against.
The new Bajaj Platina ComforTec is powered by a 102cc, DTS-i engine that churns out 8.08 hp of power at 7,500 rpm and 8.6 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. The bike delivers fuel economy of 104km/l as per ARAI. The Platina is offered with the choice of in three colours, Red, Black and Blue.
