Auto Expo 2018 is nearing day by day and American motorcycle brand Cleveland Cyclewerks will be making its debut in India at Asia's largest motoring exhibition. The brand will most likely launch three motorcycles at the event. The company's official website for India has already gone LIVE and it is currently displaying three models that go by the name Misfit, Ace Deluxe and FXR. While the first two are based on a pure retro theme, the latter is a lightweight entry-level off-road bike. Cleveland Cyclewerks has set up its offices in Mumbai and Hyderabad. Besides, the company has also come up with its manufacturing facility in the Rangareddy district of Telangana. Starting with the Cleveland Cyclewerks Misfit, the motorcycle comes with a retro theme and has beefy inverted forks up front along with twin shock absorbers at the rear. The motorcycle gets a rounded headlamp up front and the chrome finishing on it and the twin-pod instrument cluster helps it carry the old school vintage charm. The motorcycle gets a single saddle and the rear body cowl looks to be removable. At the rear, the motorcycle gets an LED strip which acts as a tail lamp. The bike will source its power from a 250cc engine and the power and torque outputs are not confirmed at the moment and more details will be revealed at Auto Expo 2018.
Second model likely to be launched by the company at Auto Expo 2018 is the Cleveland Cyclewerks Ace Deluxe. The motorcycle has comparatively lesser commanding visuals than the Misfit. The motorcycle receives a basic rounded headlamp up front and the rear view mirror also looks quite humble. This one also comes with a single seat and the rear seat cowl looks to be removable in favour of the practicality factor. The single pod instrument cluster on this one looks simple with just the necessary readouts. All thanks to the simplicity, the Cleveland Cyclewerks Ace Deluxe will most likely be priced lower than the Misfit.
Last but definitely not the least, the company also has plans to launch its FXR off-road bike and it might arrive at the Auto Expo 2018. The motorcycle will get its power from a 125cc engine and it has been fitted with 21-inch wheels at the front and rear to challenge the terrains with ease. The motorcycle has a minimalistic bodywork and it can do wonders in the market, especially at a time when Hero has discontinued the Impulse, the only adventure bike in the segment.
The Cleveland Cyclewerks Misfit and Ace Deluxe will take on the likes of Royal Enfield in the Indian two-wheeler market. Currently, only UM Motorcycles can be seen as an alternative to the Chennai-based brand and with the arrival of Cleveland Cyclewerks, the cruiser bike lovers will get one more option.
