Auto Expo 2018:  Going in to the Auto Expo 2018, thanks to the interwebs we already know what is coming and what is not to the Auto Expo 2018. This will also mark a debut at the Auto Expo (2018) for new entrants to the premium bike segment, BMW Motorrad. The 2018  BMW F650GS, aka the Funduro and the more serious ADV the F 850 GS. are among BMW’s top entrant going into the Auto Expo 2018.

Now if knew what a Funduro from the 90s looked like, forget it, the new middleweight BMW adventure tourers look nothing like the round-themed funduro from the 90s. The 2018 version just pushes the envelope further, for starters, there is a new monocoque frame and new suspension. BMW have experimented with suspension geometry, and the fuel tank position which is now moved behind the handlebar, from it’s underseat-ish position on the outgoing motorcycle. The BMW F 750 GS and the F 850 GS receive new 41mm telescopic front forks and 43mm upside down units respectively. What makes these two unique, however, is the fact that BMW also offer electrical suspension adjustment ESA as an optional extra on the rear mono-shock. Naturally both bikes get fully-adjustable riding modes, ABS and ASC as standard. Other optional features include multi-function instrument cluster and LED lighting.

BMW F750GS and F850GS to be launched at the Auto Expo 2018, will make 77 hp and 83 Nm of torque on the 750 GS, which the 850 GS makes 85 hp and 92 Nm of torque on the F 850 GS. The F 750 GS which is less tuned for hardcore country crossing gets alloy wheels, while the F 850 GS gets spoked wire frame wheels. Now with products like the Triumph Tiger and the Ducati Multistrada 950 being all the rage in the country expect the BMW twins to also light a spark with the Indian population. Once launched at the Auto Expo 2018 expect the two bikes which will make it to India through the CBU route to cost somewhere around Rs 15 lakh.
