New KTM 790 Adventure spotted testing New KTM 790 Adventure

The all-new KTM 790 Adventure has been recently spotted testing somewhere in Europe and the images have been leaked by folks at MCN Australia. The motorcycle was showcased for the first time as a concept model at the 2017 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy last year. The new KTM 790 Adventure will come based on the company's new 790 platform. This is the same platform on which the awaited KTM 790 Duke streetfighter is also based. The good thing about the spied test mule is that the production model looks highly similar to that of the concept model. However, one of the prominent changes being, the bike is snapped with twin split seats as against single seat on the concept model. The front visor also looks significantly different to the unit fitted on the concept model. The test mule is seen with an ordinary exhaust while the one in the concept was an Akrapovic unit. The front end of the new KTM 790 Adventure also features the company's signature split LED headlamps that you must have seen on the popular 390 Duke streetfighter.

The new KTM 790 ADventure will come with multiple off-road biased bits such as long travel suspension, engine protection plate, wired wheels and a lot more. To deliver an uncompromised stopping power, the new KTM 790 Adventure has been equipped with twin disc brakes up front along with a single disc unit at the rear. An ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) will come as standard. The motorcycle has been fitted with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels that paired with dual purpose tyres to offer the 'best of both worlds' performance.

Talking of powertrain, the 790cc, parallel twin engine on the 790 Duke develops respective power and torque of 103 hp and 86 Nm. We believe that there will not be much change in power and torque figures on the 790 Adventure bike. The upcoming KTM 790 Adventure will lock its horns against the BMW F 850 GS and the new Triumph Tiger 800 that has recently received a significant makeover. KTM has always been known for pricing its motorcycles quite well and hence, the price of the new 790 Adventure is also expected to stay competitive. If the manufacturer manages to roll out the motorcycle with a decent price, it can definitely have an edge over its competition.
