The new 2019 BMW G 310 R has just been announced globally with a visual makeover. The new updates are all about cosmetic changes along with the introduction of a new racing red colour scheme. With the announcement of the new shade, BMW Motorrad has taken the strato blue colour variant of the G 310 R off the shelves. Apart from the new red colour of the motorcycle, the company has also introduced a new HP motorsport colour scheme. The said paint scheme comes in white with HP decals. The new colours are also expected to make way to the Indian market as well. The BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS will be launched in India on the coming 18th July. Besides the G 310 R, BMW Motorrad has also updated its model range for the year 2019 and it is primarily about cosmetic updates only. The company will hopefully soon announced these new colours in India as well. While the BMW G 310 R will compete with the likes of KTM 390 Duke, the G 310 GS will lock horns with Royal Enfield Himalayan and Kawasaki Versys X-300.
Mechanically, there are no changes on the BMW G 310 R as the bike continues to get ower from a 313cc, liquid-cooled engine mated to a six-speed transmission. The fuel injected mill is good for developing a maximum power output of 34 bhp along with a peak torque of 28 Nm. Braking on the BMW G 310 R is taken care with the help of disc brakes at both ends and a dual channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) comes as standard. The suspension system comprises of inverted forks at the front along with a rear monoshock.
The motorcycle gets a fully digital instrument cluster with an easy to read layout. Other notable features include LED tail lamps and a muscular roadster styling.
