Bajaj Auto is set to launch the 2018 models of its popular Discover commuter motorcycles tomorrow at an event in Mumbai. The Pune-based manufacturer currently has only one bike in the Discover line up, which is the Discover 125. The company is expected to launch multiple models in the Discover line up. Out of these, the Discover 110 will make its re-entry to the 110cc segment while the existing Discover 125 might receive a facelift. The prices of the new 2018 Bajaj Discover range are expected to start at Rs 50,000 (ex-showroom). The images of the new 2018 Bajaj Discover have already leaked on the internet a few days back, which suggest new graphics and some added features. The Discover has been present in the company's line up for over a decade now. The motorcycle range has been one of the most popular and loved ones in the Indian two-wheeler market at one point. However, the entry of more capable and feature loaded newcomers had affected the sales of this bike for the bad and hence, Bajaj had to retire most of the Discover models due to poor sales. Now, it seems that the company is aiming to revive the Discover brand once again with the new models.
In terms of mechanicals, there should not be many changes to the upcoming 2018 Bajaj Discover 110. The 110cc motor will get a four-speed transmission and it will churn out respective power and torque figures nearing 9 hp and 9 Nm. The suspension system of the motorcycle will comprise of conventional telescopic forks up front along with twin gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear.
The new 2018 Bajaj Discover 110 will challenge the likes of TVS Victor 110 and Hero Passion Pro in the 110cc premium commuter territory. More details to be revealed tomorrow at the time of launch. Stay tuned with us as we will bring LIVE updates straight from the launch event.
