Bajaj Avenger Street 180 is soon to be launched in the country and has now been spied a couple of times. Bajaj Avenger 150 replacement, the Avenger Street 180 will be mounted with a 180cc engine but despite that, it will carry a price tag smaller than the Suzuki Intruder with a 150cc engine. The Avenger is going back to its roots as the original Avenger came with a 180cc engine borrowed from the Pulsar 180. Bajaj Avenger Street 180 is said to be priced at Rs 83,987 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), and while the price tag is larger than the one on the Avenger Street 150, it is still considerably smaller than its rival – the Suzuki Intruder 150.
In terms of styling, the 2018 Bajaj Avenger Street 180 will take design cues from the 2018 Avenger Street 220. The cruiser motorcycle will come with gloss red paint with new decals.
The new Bajaj Avenger 180 Street will most likely be powered by the same engine that comes mounted on the Pulsar 180, which is a 180cc air-cooled, single-cylinder that produces 17 hp and 14.22 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a five-speed transmission, but the gear ratios will be tweaked to better suit a cruiser. It will get a disc brake up front but is likely to skip on the single-channel ABS, which will prove to be an advantage for the Intruder 150.
2018 Bajaj Avenger 180 Street will retail in two colours – Red and Black. It will have the same blacked out theme as its Street siblings. The Street 180 will get the similar round headlamp set up with Daytime Running Lights (DRL) as the new Avenger 220 Street.
