Auto Expo 2018: Twenty Two Motors Flow features explained, from drag mode to cloud connectivity

Twenty Two Motors Flow is a new entrant in the electric scooter segment in India. Launched at the Auto Expo 2018, the Flow is one of the most feature-loaded scooters in the country. It comes with a reverse gear, cloud connectivity and a lot more.

Auto Expo 2018 saw the launch of a brand new electric scooter from the house of a new entrant in the segment, Twenty Two Motors Flow. The scooter, in fact, is not just powered by an electric powertrain, but also has on board a wide array of features. Twenty Two Motors Flow comes with convenience features like could connectivity, drag mode and even a reverse gear. The Flow will run on a lithium-ion powered electric motor, the range of which can be extended to double the original through an additional battery. Twenty Two Motors Flow has been launched in India at price of Rs 74,740 (ex-showroom) and the deliveries will start in the second quarter of this year. The brand will also begin its first experience centre in Gurugram in May 2018.

While we've been talking a lot about the Twenty Two Motors Flow being one of the most features loaded scooter in the country, but what does that mean? Here, find a description of the features on board the Flow:

AI: Twenty Two Motors Flow makes use of an artificial intelligence system, which makes use of sensors and real-time connectivity. Sensors gauge the condition of the scooter and alert the user of the next service requirement.

Smartphone App: Users can download an app onto their mobile phones and have every detail about their scooter at their fingertips. All the data will be saved on a server which can be accessed through this app allowing could connectivity.

Geofencing: Through Geofencing, Twenty Two Motors Flow owners can track their scooter's location, and the system will alert them if it is outside its defined geographical boundaries.

Drag Mode: This feature on the Twenty Two Motors Flow comes in handy in case of a puncture, and helps it move at walking speeds, saving the hassle of dragging it to the repair shop.

Cruise control: Twenty Two Motors Flow comes with cruise control, a feature you've heard of in premium cars and motorcycles. It allows the scooter maintain a steady speed, irrespective of the conditions and terrain.

Reverse mode: A reverse gear can particularly come in handy while pulling out of a parking area.

SOS: In case of an emergency, Twenty Two Motors Flow owners can alert their emergency contacts. With the push of a button, the scooter will send an alert message to the registered numbers.

Electronic Braking System: The EBS on the Twenty Two Motors Flow not only ensures better braking capability through the discs but also generates charge for the batteries while braking.

Twenty Two Motors Flow comes with a portable battery that can be charged at any five-ampere plug, and takes about five hours for a full charge. The range of the Twenty Two Motors Flow is 80 km on one full charge but can be extended by an additional battery to 160 km. The battery comes with a 50,000 km warranty. It comes with LED headlamps and a fully-digital instrument console. The absence of a traditional engine under the seat means there is more space under it. The boot of the Twenty Two Motors Flow can store up to two helmets.
