The Auto Expo 2018 saw number new concept cars and SUVs being showcased as all major automakers went on to showcase the best the companies have built and what can be better than Asia's biggest Automobile fest - Auto Expo 2018. With EVs taking the centre stage, all automakers starting from Maruti Suzuki to Renault to Mercedes-Benz all showcased its electric vehicles. Even Indian car makers like Mahindra and Tata Motors went all out showcasing its future cars. Day 1 of Auto Expo 2018 saw many future cars taking the centre stage. These are the top concept cars from Auto Expo 2018.

Maruti Suzuki at the Auto Expo 2018 showcased its future looking SUV. The company believes that Compact vehicles is the natural choice of Indian car customers and this new design is bold, confident and dynamic. Maruti's Future S concept SUV will sit in the compact space below Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. The Exteriors of the vehicles have an upright stance, higher seating space and higher ground clearance. It gets a unique A-Pillar giving it compact proportions. It gets sleek lamps and thing front grille giving it a different character.

Tata H5X and 45X Concept:

Tata Motors stall at Auto Expo 2018 showcased it all new Tata H5X Concept that the new Tata's Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced Architecture. Tata's new concept is a 5-seater SUV in India. The company says that this new SUV will make it to production later this year. The company also showcased its 45X concept vehicle based on ‘Agile Light Flexible Advanced’ Architecture again an all-new platform. Earlier, Tata Motors had said that it will use only two platforms across all its new upcoming cars and Tata Motors is now ready to roll out its future products.

2018 Auto Expo: Mahindra TUV Stringer concept:

Auto Expo 2018 has seen the debut of Mahindra's first roof top convertible concept car - Mahindra TUV Stringer. As the name suggests, the SUV is based on the TUV300 platform and looks widely different from the way TUV300 SUV looks. The Mahindra concept Stringer gets the mHawk engine that sheds a power of 140 BHP and 320 Nm of torque. Designed as an urbane, rugged vehicle, the TUV Stinger is certainly a showstopper at Auto Expo 2018. The vehicle is simple yet distinctive lighting signature is inspired by Mahindra Scorpio and gets LED headlamps.

Renault Trezor all-electric Grand Tourer Concept:

French auto maker, Renault has showcased its sharp, global concept car Trezor – an all-electric Grand Tourer concept car, at the Auto Expo 2018. Renault Trezor gets an all electric powertrain and autonomous driving. Renault Trezor is 4.7 metres long, 2.18 metres wide and 1.08 metres high, The concept car is built by Renault e.dams, a two-time winner of the Formula E Teams’ world title. Like in all global shows, Renault Trezor is one of the best looking concept cars that is a two-seater electric coupe. Together with TREZOR, Renault demonstrated its presence in electric vehicle space by showcasing ZOE e-Sport Concept.

Mercedes-Benz Concept EQ:

After breaking covers at the 2017 Paris Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz has brought its Concept EQ electric SUV to India. Mercedes-Benz Concept EQ will carry forward the design of future electric products coming from Mercedes-Benz globally. With Concept EQ, Mercedes-Benz plans to electrify mobility solutions across the world. The production version of Mercedes-Benz Concept EQ will make its debut by 2020 and as India gears up for EVs, expect German automaker Mercedes-Benz to bring this to India. The company is also the first carmaker to roll out BS-Vi compliant vehicles in India.
