Auto Expo 2018 might see the launch of Suzuki Burgman Street scooter in India. The sporty scooter just been spied in the country completely undisguised, hinting towards its nearing launch. A report on Autocar India suggests that the new Suzuki Burgman will be launched at the coming Auto Expo 2018. If that happens, this will be for the first time that Suzuki will bring the Burgman brand to our shores. Internationally, Suzuki Burgman is sold in multiple engine displacement options but India will most likely get the 125cc or 150cc version for obvious reasons. The engine details for the India-bound model are a mystery at the moment. There have been reports on the internet suggesting that the company will launch a 150cc scooter in the country at Auto Expo 2018. The rumours may turn out to be true at the biennial event with the launch of 150cc Burgman. Also, there is a chance that the manufacturer equips the Suzuki Burgman Street with the same engine that runs the popular Access 125.
Expected features on the upcoming Suzuki Burgman Street include LED tail lamp, front disc brake, a fully digital instrument cluster, a mobile charging point and a lot more. The suspension system of the Suzuki Burgman will likely comprise of conventional telescopic forks up front to offer good comfort and stability on harsh Indian roads. The seating on the Burgman is expected to be wide due to the fact that the said brand of scooters are particularly known for their comfort. Also, the new Suzuki Burgman should come with a windscreen and a bold looking apron to offer a distinct character when compared to rest of the mass market scooters available in the market. The upcoming Suzuki Burgman Street will challenge the likes of Aprilia SR 150 in the Indian scooter market. The premium scooter is expected to arrive with a price tag of a little over Rs 70,000 (ex-showroom). More details to be revealed at Auto Expo 2018.
