Auto Expo 2018 is seeing an impressive footfall and one of the most exciting two-wheeler pavilions is of Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI). At the biennial event, the company has unveiled the new 2018 Honda CB Hornet 160R motorcycle. If you have visited the company's pavilion, you must have noticed that the use of LEDs has played a significant role in the current edition of Auto Expo. The reason being, Honda has equipped its multiple models with an LED headlamp this time at Auto Expo 2018. The new 2018 Honda Hornet 160R is no different and the company has updated the motorcycle with the said feature along with other style updates. Among multiple updates, the new 2018 Honda CB Hornet 160R showcased at Auto Expo 2018 has been integrated with an ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), revised instrument cluster and new graphics that make it look better than before.
Powering the new 2018 Honda CB Hornet 160R showcased at Auto Expo 2018 is the same 162.7cc, single cylinder, air-cooled engine mated to a five-speed transmission. The engine is good for churning out respective power and torque outputs of 14.9 hp and 14.5 Nm. The motorcycle has been fitted with a 12-litre fuel tank. The braking duties on the new 2018 Honda CB Hornet 160R are taken care of with the help of disc brakes at both ends. As already mentioned, a single channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) is offered with the motorcycle and this may come as an optional equipment.
The new 2018 Honda Hornet 160R is expected to be launched in India in the coming weeks. The motorcycle will most likely demand a premium of close to Rs 10,000 over the existing model, thanks to newly added features. The motorcycle locks its horns with Bajaj Pulsar NS 160, TVS Apache RTR 160 and Yamaha FZ-S. The company has also showcased the X-Blade at the motor show that is based on the Honda Hornet 160R.
