Multiple two-wheeler manufacturers showcased electric bikes and scooters and some of them were even launched at the motor show. Emflux One at Auto Expo 2018
The new Emflux One unveiled at Auto Expo 2018 is undoubtedly one of the most exciting electric two-wheelers at the motoring exhibition. The electric superbike gets its power from a 60kW electric motor that is good for shedding out respective power and torque of 80 hp and 84 Nm. The motorcycle has been integrated with some high spec equipment such as Brembo brakes and Ohlins suspension to be at par with some of the best performance bikes available on the planet. The new Emflux One electric bike will be limited to just 199 units for India and the brand will make further units to be exported to international markets. The Emflux One will be launched in India in April 2019 at a price close to Rs 6 lakh (on-road).
UM Renegade Thor at Auto Expo 2018
UM Motorcycles has launched world's first ever electric cruiser, better known as Renegade Thor at Auto Expo 2018. The UM Renegade Thor sources its power from a 30kW electric motor that produces a peak power output of 40 hp while the maximum torque stands at 70 Nm. The motorcycle also gets a five-speed transmission system. Thanks to this set-up, the motorcycle can achieve a top speed of 180 kmph and it offers a range of 270 km per single full charge. The prime highlights of the new UM Renegade Thor electric cruiser include LED headlamp, fully digital instrument cluster and more. The new UM Renegade Thor has been launched at a price of Rs 9.9 lakh. If you are already worried about the pricing, there is also a locally assembled version coming in 2020 that will see a reduced price tag of Rs 4.9 lakh.
TVS Creon at Auto Expo 2018
If you have visited or are following the Auto Expo 2018 closely, you will not deny that the TVS Creon is one of the most exciting concepts put on display at the company's booth. The electric scooter concept gets its power from 3 Li-ion batteries that develop a maximum power output of 16 hp. The scooter has been assisted with the company's patented Smart Xonnect technology that enables smartphone connectivity. The new TVS Creon has been equipped with disc brakes at both ends and these further come linked to an ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) for added safety and convenience. Other features on the TVS Creon include regenerative braking, Anti-theft facility, cloud connectivity, GPS navigation, geo-fencing and lot more.
Twenty-Two Motors Flow at Auto Expo 2018
One of the most exciting electric scooters showcased at the Auto Expo 2018 is the Twenty Two Motors Flow. The scooter was the talk of the show in the electric two-wheeler segment, all thanks to the interesting features that can put even motorcycles segments above it to shame. The new Twenty Two Motors Flow is powered by a 2.1 kW electric motor that generates a maximum power output of 71 hp along with a peak torque of 90 Nm. The scooter comes with some interesting features such as reverse gear, geo-fencing, smartphone connectivity and a lot more. The new Twenty Two Motors Flow has been launched in India at a price of Rs 74,740 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Menza Lucat at Auto Expo 2018
Gujarat-based Menza Motors has launched its first electric bike at Auto Expo 2018 that has been named as Lucat. The bookings for the new Menza Lucat will commence on 14th February and the deliveries will begin in mid-August. The new Menza Lucat gets its power from a DC motor that is good for churning out 24 hp of power along with a peak torque of 60 Nm. The company is offering multiple customisation options with the motorcycle and one can even opt for a full fairing. Menza Motors is also offering an option of leasing the battery at a charge of Rs 4,000 per month. The company has already installed charging stations at the Yamuna Expressway and it will come up with more such stations on other National highways across India.
