Auto Expo 2018 has seen the arrival of many electric vehicles and Menza Motors have come up in the similar space. The Gujarat-based company has launched Lucat electric bike at the biennial event at a price of Rs 2.79 lakh. The company is also offering an option in which the customer can lease the battery at a charge of Rs 4,000 per month. In such a case, the motorcycle will cost you Rs 1.79 lakh. The new Menza Lucat comes with 84 percent localisation and that is why the company has managed to keep the pricing competitive. The bookings for the new Menza Lucat starts on 14th February and the deliveries will start by mid-August. In the initial phase, Menza Motors will be delivering 100 units across India. The Menza Lucat offers a range of 100 km in the city while on the highway, the range extends up to close to 150 km. The motorcycle comes equipped with a 72V Li-ion battery pack and it can be charged completely in 4 hours. There is also a fast charging facility under which the battery can be charged in 90 minutes. Talking about performance, the electric motor on the new Menza Lucat is good for churning out a maximum power output of 24 hp along with a peak torque of 60 Nm.

One of the most interesting highlights of the new Menza Lucat electric bike showcased at Auto Expo 2018 is that the company is providing several customisation options with the bike. The customer can opt for his choice of tyres, seating and lot more. Even one can ask for a full-fairing on the motorcycle if he or she does not want a cafe racer look. Menza Motors has tied up with PayTM mall for all transactions. The customer can make the payment through PayTM and the motorcycle will be delivered at their doorstep. The brand also claims a unique delivery experience as the bike will come to the customer's place in a special electric van.

Speaking on the launch of Menza Lucat at Auto Expo 2018, Rahul Gonsalves, Founder and CEO, Menza Motors said, "With the launch of Menza Lucat, we have brought about a change in the automobile industry of India. Thousands of hours of research and testing were put into getting the mechanics right. We have even connected micro-factory with retails and storefront to meet the accurate dates of delivery and ensure the best consumer experience on a motorcycle. We plan to set up an entire ecosystem for electric motorcycles within the country, which would include the product and easy availability of charging stations along with creating a community of Menza motorcycle riders in the near future."
