Auto Expo 2018: Going to the 2018 Auto Expo, the most pivotal standee will be from the Maruti Suzuki camp. With over 50% of all cars being sold have the Maruti Suzuki badge. Interestingly Maruti Suzuki will not be going the EV route yet, that's more likely to show in 2019. Now, don’t go expecting that Maruti is going to pull a KIA at the Auto Expo 2018, as tradition dictates Maruti will bring products that are relevant to the people. Products that they will bring soon to the sub-continent. Now topping that list will be the 2018 Suzuki Swift, which they have already announced officially as their headliner. But what else is on the roster to make headway at the Auto Expo 2018. Here’s our list of Maruti Suzuki cars likely to debut at the Auto Expo.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift at Auto Expo 2018
Maruti’s executive sedan the Ciaz, which was launched in 2013 is in desperate need of a mid-cycle facelift considering that rivals like the Honda City and the Hyundai Verna have received rather comprehensive updates in 2017. And while Ciaz still compares on paper with the competition, it does lose out on the Market share on account of being dated. The facelifted Ciaz will bring a sleeker profile based on the same engines and platform, alongside redesigned bumpers and double slat grille. The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz might even get a sunroof to bring it to par alongside the Verna and the Honda City. This will be one of the Auto Expo 2018 debuts to look out for.
2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift at the Auto Expo
Despite the fact that the Swift has been one of Maruti’s most iconic products, the 2018 Swift does raise the bar a little more than usual. The entire outlook has been revisited resulting in what would seem like a lower more appealing Swift. While the engine variants will stay largely the same Maruti Suzuki might also consider a swift Hybrid or even more so the Swift with the very exciting RS badging that Suzuki unveiled at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.
2018 Maruti Suzuki Future S Compact at Auto Expo
While this might not be the headline going into the Auto Expo 2018, it might be following it. Maruti Suzuki said, "compact is beautiful, #ConceptFutureS beautifully carries forward this Suzuki slogan and creates its own positioning by breaking away from the conventional proportions of a compact car." Now interestingly the future S will take on Hyundai’s new concept and maybe the Mahindra KUV. What makes the Future S compact even more exciting is that the platform has been designed to be compatible with an electric motor as well.
