Auto Expo 2018: The Auto Expo 2018 kicked off today at the India Expo Mart venue in Greater Noida, and it seemed like there was an almost unanimous message across manufacturers displaying at the Auto Expo. The message was sustainable mobility.More than 22 manufacturers were looking to send the same message standing at a crossroad between internal combustion and other forms of more sustainable mobility. At the Auto Expo 2018, it seemed liked manufacturers were more keen on setting the tone for the year to come and seemed hesitant to make any concrete launches.
2018 Maruti Suzuki Future S at the Auto Expo
The day started with Maruti Suzuki’s global premier of it’s Concept Future S going on to showcase the e-SURVIVOR Concept. While the Future S, showed off its groundbreaking achievement in terms of design, the e-Survivor concept focused on what an electric future from Suzuki could look like. Showcasing an amalgamation of their prowess in the off-road sphere and electric mobility.
2018 Honda Cars at the Auto Expo
Honda Cars then had the stage unveiling the 2nd Generation Honda Amaze, scheduled to be launched in India in FY18-19.The company also unveiled the All New 5th Generation Honda CR-V and the much awaited 10th Generation Honda Civic, both in petrol and diesel variants. Also on display at the Auto Expo 2018 were the much awaited Honda Sports EV Concept, Honda NeuV, Clarity Fuel Cell (Honda’s most advanced zero emission vehicle).
2018 KIA cars at the Auto Expo
KIA has been on the horizon for a while, starting with the SP Concept,which made its public premier at Auto Expo 2018 aside from 16 electric models. Including the Niro EV Concept, the Stonic all being haloed by their KIA Stinger GT coupe.
Renault TREZOR Concept at Auto Expo
Renaults started their Auto Expo 2019, with the TREZOR Grand Tourer Concept, which was their major crowd draw for the day. Renault also showcased ZOE e-Sport Concept, the Formula One Racing Car, R.S. 17 and the complete Indian range led by the newly launched Captur and Kwid Superhero Editions.
Hyundai Motors at Auto Expo
Hyundai Motor India, also had a show to put on with the new Elite i20 breaking cover at the Auto Expo 2018. Aside from this global EV, the Ioniq was also put on display. The Ioniq served as Hyundai halo on the message of future mobility.
Tata Motors at Auto Expo
Tata motors had a lot in store for the media ahead of the Auto Expo 2018, the headliner for the day was the H5 Concept which is set to make its debut later this year. The 45X Concept was also on display although this was left largely to the imagination.
Mercedes Benz at Auto Expo
Mercedes-Benz kick-started its product offensive with the launch of Mercedes-Maybach S 650 and showcased the E-Class All-Terrain and the futuristic Concept of EQ.
