Auto Expo 2018 sees BMW showcasing many new cars. The manufacturer has also launched the new 6-series GT and M5 sedan at the biennial event. BMW also showcased the i3s and i8 Roadster electric cars at the biennial event are these two are prime eco-friendly highlights at the company's booth.

Auto Expo 2018 has kick-started for the public today and BMW has showcased multiple new products at the biennial event. Having said that, the company has not disappointed its audience. The event was further spiced up with the arrival of the company's brand ambassador Sachin Tendulkar. To start with, BMW has launched the new 6-series Gran Turismo in India at a price of Rs 58.9 lakh. The car has been launched in a petrol variant and it will be manufactured at the company's production facility in Chennai. The diesel version of the new BMW 6-series GT will be launched at a later stage. Talking of powertrain, the new BMW 6-series GT is powered by a 2-litre, four-cylinder engine that is good churning out respective power and torque of 258 hp and 400 Nm. The car gets features like Park distance control, BMW apps, multifunctional instrument display, ambient lighting and a lot more. Besides the two aforementioned models, BMW also showcased the new X3 at Auto Expo 2018. The car is one of the best selling SUV models by the company and it has received some bolder changes to the exterior in its latest facelift. Internationally, the car is being offered with two diesel and three petrol engine options.

The new BMW M5 has also been launched at Auto Expo 2018. The power and torque figures of the engine fitted on the M5 develops maximum power and torque of 600 hp and 750 Nm respectively. For the first time, the car gets a carbon fibre roof that has resulted in slightly lesser weight of the car. The new BMW M5 car has been launched in India at a price of Rs 1.43 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi).
