As the novelty of simple chatbots fades, the enterprise world is shifting toward “agentic” systems – AI that doesn’t just talk, but actually executes multi-step business tasks. At the centre of this shift, Covasant Technologies announced a strategic partnership with Google Cloud to accelerate the rollout of these autonomous agents via Google’s Gemini Enterprise platform, according to an official statement from Covasant.

The collaboration comes at a pivotal moment. A latest report from Databricks reveals a staggering 327% growth in multi-agent workflows over the past year, as companies move away from early experimentation toward systems that can handle complex reasoning and independent action.

Moving From Chatbots to Digital Employees

‘Covasant, an AI-powered “Services-as-Software” firm, claims to integrate its Agent Management Suite and Control Tower with Google Cloud’s infrastructure. This setup allows businesses to deploy, govern, and monitor AI agents in real-time.

“Enterprise AI is entering a phase where real value comes from systems that can reason and collaborate within real business environments,” Srikanth Chakkilam, CEO, Covasant Technologies said.

The company claims that this partnership is part of a broader $750 million global initiative by Google Cloud to empower its partner ecosystem. Covasant is among a select group of “AI-native” partners launching dedicated Gemini Enterprise practices to help clients build “Agent-as-a-Service” bundles tailored to specific industries, as per the statement.

A recent Anthropic report suggests that by the end of 2026, AI agents will be capable of working for days at a time on complex projects with minimal human intervention. However, this level of autonomy requires strict guardrails.

“The transition to an agentic enterprise requires more than just a model; it requires specialized expertise,” Victor Morales, Vice President, Global System Integrators Partnerships at Google Cloud said.
