eSource will focus on BPO business opportunities in the domestic market as well as abroad with a special focus on US, Europe and the Middle-East, said Mr Biswas.
The BPO division has been specifically set up to cater to the growing demand in the learning and knowledge solutions space and leverage Zed-Axis expertise in Macromedia technologies, he added.
Zed-Axis will cater to the niche area of e-learning and Macromedia flash scripting in the BPO segment. Towards this end, the company plans to leverage its marketing alliances with animation company Digital Motion Pictures which caters to Europe and First Mace, UAE, to strenghthen its presence in more markets, Mr Biswas added.
eSource will be an end-to-end solution provider catering to conversion of learning material, custom application development, database management requirements, along with project management capability, he pointed out.
The company is also in the process of setting up an e-learning back-end infrastructure with the state-of-the art manpower skills sets in the area of flash animation, action scripting and multimedia solutions.
Zed-Axis Technologies posted a turnover of Rs 1.5 crore for the year ending March 2003 and expects it to go up to 3.5 crore this fiscal. The BPO division will contribute 40 per cent of the turnover, Mr Biswas said.
