Immigration consultancy major World Wide Immigration Consultancy Services Ltd (WWICS) is gearing up to expand branch offices both inside and outside the country, said BS Jolly, general manager, business immigration.

"In India, a new branch office is coming up at Jammu in a month," he said. The company has 42 offices across India. Globally, the organisation has 13 operations, and another two are coming up in Kuwait and Johannesburg in four months.

Jolly said Canada 's Alberta province, which launched the Alberta Immigration Nominee Programme on June 19, is seeking people wanting to settle down there permanently. "Immigrants between 21-45 years of age, either studying or working, are eligible for the programme," he said. But the principal applicant should show a settlement fund of $10,000 for himself and $2,000 for each of his family members, said Jolly.

"The person sponsoring the immigrant needs to show $15,000 to help the latter sustain himself in the province," Jolly said. The sponsor should have been staying in Alberta for a minimum of two years, he added.

"WWICS is going to prepare the immigrants for visa and job-oriented interviews and also provide lodging at a cost of $550 per person per month," Jolly said.

Each year, around 600 Indian families migrate to Canada through WWICS.
