According to a company release, this is an 84 per cent growth in revenues from the last year. Established in 1996, the firm serves clients in travel and transportation, insurance, healthcare, shared services and knowledge services sectors.
WNS currently has over 5,000 skilled employees at its offshore delivery centres in Mumbai, Pune, Nasik, Ipswich (UK) and Colombo as well as has sales and marketing offices in New York and London.
WNS Global Services Group CEO Neeraj Bhargava said in the release that 2003-04 had been a very successful year for WNS as the firm completed its transition from a captive to a third party player. He added: Early this year, we streamlined our businesses into separate verticals, thereby gaining focus on each business line. We have a strong pipeline of clients and are poised to grow at 50-60 per cent in the financial year 2004-05.
WNS in the said fiscal added 32 clients, completed acquisition and integration of the ClaimsBPOs healthcare BPO business and during the course of the year grew its employee strength by 80 per cent.
The company expects to grow by another 50-60 percent. Mr Bhargava stated that the prospects for maintaing the same growth in the future are bright.
WNS has strengthened its leadership team with the addition of Jay Ackerman, an ex-Exult, as President and CEO of WNS NA in the US, Bernard Donoghue, former MD, Hays Plc, BPO Business, as Sales and Marketing Director of WNS UK and Zubin Dubash, former Director, Indian Hotels Ltd, Tata Group, as the Group chief financial officer.
