Within a week of acquiring WhatsApp, Facebook today updated its default email settings. Currently, messages sent to your @facebook.com email address are delivered to your Facebook Messages.

However, Facebook has now updated the way @facebook.com email addresses work, so that soon as any email message is sent to your @facebook.com email address, it will no longer go to your Facebook Messages. Instead, these emails will be forwarded to the primary email on your Facebook account.

According to the reports, Facebook service will now be quietly withdrawn from March and any messages sent to @facebook.com addresses will be simply forwarded to the primary email account registered with that user.

As a part of this change, any current Facebook conversations that include an email address will become read-only. This means that youll still be able to view the conversation, but youll no longer be able to reply to it from your Facebook Messages. To continue the conversation, you can always message people through their Facebook accounts.

On the other hand, WhatsApp now allows users to hide their 'last seen at' for android and iPhone users at the initial phase.
