Western Union Ties Up With HPCL

Western Union will offer money transfer service at select Club Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltds (HPCL) outlets across Mumbai city. Western Unions key agent, JIK Industries Ltd, has signed agreements with select HPCL dealers to introduce this service in Club HP retail outlets.

Initially, Western Unions money transfer services will be available at 11 Club HP outlets across Mumbai. This forms part of Western Unions initiative to meet the growing needs of its customers.

We are looking at strengthening our network further by working with organisations that have a widespread network along with a focus on providing value to their end-customers. We are in talks with such organisations to provide safe, secure and reliable money transfer services, Western Unions director general-India, Anil Kapur, said.

Added HPCLs head-allied retail sales, PT Suresh: The concept of Club HP is to add value to our customer. Western Union is a leader in money transfer services worldwide and with these dealer alliances, we will be providing customers the convenience of receiving money at select Club HP locations.

Club HP outlets is part of HPCLs retail branding initiative launched recently. It seeks to differentiate from other petrol pumps with an offer of outstanding care for the vehicle and the customer. The money transfer facilitation at select Club HP outlets is part of the customer conveniences envisaged under the branding strategy.
