By moving ahead with the plan to start BlackBerry services (?Tatas go ahead with BlackBerry?, Apr 21), the Tatas have taken a correct stand. It is shocking that law-abiding companies continue to be victimised by our system either deliberately or otherwise. This irresponsible behaviour of officialdom is yet another example of the tail wagging the dog. This also makes one wonder whether we do have a government that is susceptible to transparent business thinking.

Question of justice

Chief Justice of India KG Balakrishnan?s suggestion to create special courts to deal with corruption cases, and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh?s positive response to it, should be welcomed by all. Such special courts will not only instill confidence in the judicial system but also pave the way for gradual reduction, if not complete elimination, of corruption in India.
