Uttarpara plant functioning normally: Hindustan Motors

Amidst disruption of supplies of materials due to road blockade in Singur, Hindustan Motors on Thursday said its plant in Uttarpara is functioning normally and there were no plans of a shut down.

"Raw material supply to the facility has been partially affected due to road blockade but the company is making appropriate arrangements to continue with its production activity at the plant," Hindustan Motors said in a statement.

The management is committed towards timely supply of orders in hand, it added.

"... its plant in Uttarpara in West Bengal is functioning normally and has no plans of a shutdown," HM said.

The plant was closed on yesterday, which the company said was a part of routine weekly closure.
