BJP media cell chiefs across the country have been asked by senior leaders of the party to make sure that the agenda of L K Advanis Rath Yatra on good governance is not marred by party indiscipline.

Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley, while addressing a workshop of state-level spokespersons of the party, said the people of the country had themselves set the agenda of the Rath Yatra pertaining to fighting corruption and striving for good governance. Please do not, at any pit stop of the Yatra, through anybodys speeches try and distract from the agenda of the Yatra. Try and vet every local speaker who goes on stage to make sure that he toes the party line, he said.

The party will not accept the plea later that this was your personal view on the matter. There are no personal views to be aired, this is a purely organisational exercise and it should remain thus, he said.
