As argued by your editorial (?Market flexibility?, Mar 24), it?s time to amend the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act of 1970. The government needs to remove the word ?abolition? from the Act and make it simply regulatory, defending certain aspects concerning labourers, especially guaranteeing fair and timely wages to them. All other restrictions in the Act are obsolete and unhealthy for industry and for the generation of fresh employment.
