Tata Telecom Identifies New Focus Areas

Tata Telecom has identified converged solutions, contact centre/CRM (customer relationship management) solutions and customer support as its focus area during the current fiscal. The company also announced its results for the year ended March 31, 2003 recording a net profit of Rs 18.55 crore.

The companys vice-chairman Niru Mehta said, The opportunities lie in the areas of voice solutions, contact centres and video-conferencing, he explained. Existing businesses account for 62 per cent of the companys revenue while the balance is accounted for by new businesses, he added. The other area, which we will focus on is that of acquisitions which will depend on how much value the incumbent adds to the current business he added.
