Tata Consultancy To Get Certifying Authority Licence This Week

Controller of Certifying Authority (CCA) is understood to have approved Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as a certifying authority (CA) and is likely to issue a licence for the same in this week. TCS is going to get the CA licence for digital signature in the next seven days. Delhi-based digital auditor Cyberq has audited the company already, sources said.

Department of customs has also applied for the CA licence but it may take some time for them, as formalities have just started, they said.

The process may take 3-4months for the department of customs as they are an entirely different , sources said.

A CA licence enables the licencee to distribute digital signature certificates and facilitating online transactions, thereby spreading e-com deals.
