Talks with Centre satisfactory: NSCN-IM

Claiming that the talks with the Central government on Thursday was satisfactory, the NSCN-IM said that substantial progress has been made to resolve the decades-old insurgency in Nagaland.

We are fully satisfied with this round of talks. We have made substantial progress in todays meeting," senior leader of the group VS Atem said.

Official sources said the talks focused on the NSCN-IMs key demand for the unification of Naga-inhabited areas of the northeast to form a greater Nagaland".

Charter of demands given by the group were also discussed.Though, the parley was initially spread for three days, it concluded with an agreement to meet again sometime next month," Atem said.
