TAL ties up with two European firms

TAL Manufacturing Solutions Ltd (TAL), the wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Motors, has got into a technical collaboration with Europes leading machine tools majors, Heller GmbH of Germany and Maus SpA of Italy.

Heller is specialised in high-end machining solutions, machining centres and flexible manufacturing systems. The collaboration with Heller will bring in competitively priced machines which was not available earlier. The production of the machines and its aggregates will be done at TAL facilities in Pune in a phased manner. TAL has also tied up with MAUS, a Carraro group company, to bring high-end vertical turning centres in the Indian market. Vertical turning centres are widely used in automotive, aerospace, bearings and energy and off-shore equipment.

TAL provides engineering solutions across manufacturing industries in India and abroad. TAL builds machine tools and also has an equipment business unit that is into non-metal cutting machines, manufacturing and automation solutions, and large fabrication jobs.

It is also into material handling and fluid power solutions. PM Telang, president, light and small commercial vehicles, Tata Motors is also the chairman of TAL Manufacturing Solutions.
