Storage Networking Summit In Bangalore

Storage Networking Summit, Indias first international storage networking event would be held in Bangalore from January 20 to 23, 2003.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, Karnataka IT minister DB Inamadar said, Storage networking is the next big opportunity for the IT industry in India and companies developing and marketing storage technologies are making major inroads to the country. With most of the large banks and financial institutions looking at network storage as a means to protect valuable data, storage networking is one of the fastest growing sector in the industry, he added.

The speakers at the seminar include Brocade Communications co-founder, industry architect and entrepreneur Kumar Malavalli, Network Appliance Inc founder and executive vice-president, engineering Dave Hitz, the Storage Group president and CEO W Curtis Preston, Hewlett-Packard Company software global business unit senior vice-president Nora Denzel to name a few.

The event is being organised by the department of IT, government of Karnataka; STPI (software technology parks of India), Nasscom (National Association of Software and Services Companies), CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) and MAIT (Manufacturers Association of Information Technology).
