Responding to the showcause notice by the Delhi BJP, vice-president Sher Singh Dagar said the sting tape showing him offering to buy out an AAP MLA is a conspiracy.

Dagar also informed the party that AAP MLA Dinesh Mohaniya and AAP workers in the sting had been in touch with him for a while.

AAP MLA was in touch with Dagar and had been insisting on meeting him. Dagar has informed the party that the sting is a conspiracy, Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay said. However, the party has asked Dagar what legal action he had taken in the matter, which he says is a conspiracy.

Senior BJP leaders indicated that an immediate reply was expected from Dagar or he would face strong action.

He was an over-enthusiastic worker who fell into the AAPs trap. Our party leaders were never asked to entertain any demand of money by MLAs of any party. They wanted to come to the BJP willingly. Many of them even contacted our senior leaders to express their desire to join the BJP, a BJP leader claimed.
