Sinha Leaves For Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan Today

Foreign affairs minister Yashwant Sinha will be undertaking a five-day visit to Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan from Tuesday as part of Indias special focus on its ties with Central Asia.

This is the first-ever visit by an Indian foreign minister to these two countries and is part of Mr Sinhas visits to the immediate and extended neighbourhood.

Mr Sinha will call on Tajik President Emomolai Rakhmonov and other leaders in Dushanbe for exchanging views on a wide range of bilateral, regional and international issues of importance. The two sides are expected to agree to the setting up of a joint working group on terrorism during the visit.
