Ajay Devgn’s ‘Singham Returns’ has become the 32nd film to reach the coveted box office collections figure of Rs 100 crore, which has become a must for every big film in Bollywood if it wants to be counted as ‘something’.
‘Singham Returns’ box office collections crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in five days, just like Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’. The film’s business for the first five days now reads: Friday Rs 32.09 crore, Saturday Rs 21.05 crore, Sunday Rs 24.55 crore, Monday Rs 14.78 crore, Tuesday Rs 8.21 crore with grand total of Rs 100.68 crore in the domestic market.
Ajay Devgn-Kareena Kapoor starrer has fared relatively well at the overseas box office also. According to the reports coming in from international market, the ‘Singham Returns’ has generated approximately Rs 12.04 crore abroad, with maximum revenue of Rs 4.97 crore from UAE-GCC region.
Interestingly, ‘Singham Returns’, which is a sequel, managed to cross the lifetime business of ‘Singham’ (Released on July 22, 2011) in just five days.

Another interesting fact is the that the film is Ajay Devgn’s 5th, Kareena Kapoor’s 5th, Rohit Shetty’s 5th and Reliance Entertainment’s 6th Rs 100 crore grosser.
With Devgn’s latest, six films have so far entered the exclusive club this year, including ‘Kick’, ‘Jai Ho’, ‘Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’, ‘Ek Villain’ and ‘2 States’ and Singham Returns slots into 6th position.
Dhoom franchise, Dhoom 3, has been the fastest to cross the Rs 100 crore barrier in just three days followed by SRK starrer ‘Chennai Express’ and Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Krissh 3’ in four days.
This year, the first film to open the roster for the 100 crore club was the Salman Khan starrer ‘Jai Ho’ that crossed the mark in eight days.
