Sensex Down By 60 Points

The expiry of the September futures contracts on Thursday overhauled the benchmark indices, snapping its two session gain. The trading session on Thursday was characterised by volatility, after which, the 30-share Sensex ended with a loss of nearly 60 points on account of unwinding of positions in the futures market. At the days close the Sensex lost 59.24 points, or 1.36 per cent, at 4,297.15. The NSE S&P CNX Nifty Index shed 14.85 points, or 1.08 per cent, at 1,357.20. The FE constituted FEfty also lost 14.16 points.
