A year ago Suparn Verma was just another ambitious scribe working for Rediff.com and hoping that he would make a film someday. Until Pritish Nandy made things happen for Verma who had been scripting films for five years and had found the script for his very own directorial debut.

All he needed was a mentor. Pritish Nandy Communications ensured that Vermas debut film would take off with as little hiccups as possible.

After scripting such films as Chhal, Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai, Qayamat, Zameen and Karam, he wielded the directorial baton with the Fardeen Khan-Koena Mitra starrer Ek Khiladi Ek Hasina. Vermas sleek thriller may not have exactly wooed the box-office, but his sensational film promo did. Verma MMS video with lead star Fardeen and Koena may have got him a lot of flak, but it also ensured that his film was talked about in trade and film circles weeks before its promo hit the screens).

Verma who admits that his film was a a remake of every con film ever made, every real con youve ever read about. Its imbibed from everything I've ever seen. I am a sum of what I have experienced in my life. It was a complete entertainer with a whole lot of twists and turns that try to involve you. This is more of a repeat viewing kind of film. In that sense, its like The Sixth Sense.

Verma claims to be an impatient man in a tearing hurry. I might work on a family drama or an action film. Fardeen will be in my second film. The rest of the cast is yet to fall in place.
