SBT, Crisil to rate SMEs

State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Crisil for rating of Small and Medium Enterprises. The arrangement envisages providing of rating services to clients of the bank at concessional fee. SBT has all along been taking initiatives, which contribute to the development of Small and Medium Enterprises and these have won recognition at the national level for excellence in lending to the small sector, a bank spokesman points out. The bank, which has five exclusive SME branches in Kerala, regularly conducts Entrepreneurship Development Programmes for different target groups with a view to equipping participants to pursue entrepreneurial activities.
