One cannot agree more with Sandipan Deb (?Send a message, Mumbai?, Apr 26) about the need to raise our voice for freedom. Banning any form of art is pointless. The dancing girls on the cricket field are not artistic, nor ?leaders?. They will be subject to the law of diminishing titillation, and will duly return to Washington to cheer their team against rivals from Los Angeles or wherever. With a Salman Rushdie novel, at least there is some new brilliance to puzzle over.
